4-2A Foods uncovered in coolers and freezers- keep all foods covered in storage- foods were covered up. Corrected on site. Repeat Violation. 12A Foods stored on floor in prep area, walk in cooler- chicken laying on back prep area with chicken laying up against wall that has electrical boxes and peeling paint -only allow foods to touch food contact surfaces that have been properly sanitized-chicken was moved into cooler and walls cleaned and sanitized- don't stack pans of foods on top of uncovered foods. Corrected on Site. Repeat Violation. 17D Lights missing black end caps in kitchen areas- replace caps. Repeat Violation

The effective date of the new Food Service Rules and Regulations is February 15, 2006. Establishments permitted after February 15, 2006 will have 90 days to obtain certification for a food service manager. Enforcement of all other requirements begins on November 15, 2006.

The Hall County Environmental Health Department will be offering ServSafe classes on April 5th and 6th, 2006 (2-day attendance). Please call for more information and to register at (770) 531-3973. There is a limit of 40 persons. Future classes will be announced at a later date.
