4-2B interior if ice maker has mold/mildew- wash/rinse/sanitize food contact surfaces and inspect for cleanliness before reuse, New violation 8-1B Chemicals stored with food- segregate any chemical storage away from food and single serve items, new violation 15A some gaskets torn - replace torn gaskets ASAP to provide a smooth, durable, nonabsorbent surface, new violation 17C floors throughout kitchen need better cleaning, especially under storage on creates- move crates and clean floor to the floor/wall juncture to prevent contamination and insect/rodent attraction, new violation.

The effective date of the new Food Service Rules and Regulations is February 15, 2006. Establishments permitted after February 15, 2006 will have 90 days to obtain certification for a food service manager. Enforcement of all other requirements begins on November 15, 2006.

The Hall County Environmental Health Department will be offering ServSafe classes on April 5th and 6th, 2006 (2-day attendance). Please call for more information and to register at (770) 531-3973. There is a limit of 40 persons. Future classes will be announced at a later date.
