Georgians alerted of a recall involving dog treats

ATLANTA - Georgia residents need to be aware of a recall involving dog treats. PetSmart is recalling two "Dentley's Beef Hoof" products for potential Salmonella contamination. The recalled products, which include "Dentley's Bulk Cattle Hoof" and "Dentley's 10 Pack Beef Hooves", would have been purchased between Oct. 2nd, and Nov. 3rd, 2009. The affected products were shipped from the Pet Carousel plant to 3 PetSmart distribution centers in Newnan, GA, Groveport, OH, and Ottawa, IL.. They were then shipped to certain PetSmart stores. The recall was issued because of a possible health risk to dogs and humans. Customers who purchased the recalled products should discontinue use immediately and return them to any PetSmart store for a complete refund or exchange.
