HOSCHTON - Mill Creek rallied from a 14-0 halftime lead to beat South Forsyth 24-21 Friday night.

The Hawks got the game winner with 38 seconds left in the game when John Russ scored on a 4th-and-1 from the South Forsyth 2 to give them a 22-21 lead. A two-point conversion gave the hawks a three-point lead.

South Forsyth had one last shot returning the kickoff to midfield but the Eagles ran out of time.

Brandon Hayman had a huge game for Mill Creek with six catches for 54 yards and a touchdown and also returned a kicoff 93 yards to set up another Mill Creek touchdown.

Scott Morton booted a 26-yard field goal for Mill Creek (5-5) which avoided having its first losing season since 2005 with the victory.
